The heart of the system is the KLY-RAT transmitter. Built for direct mounting on a vessel's rudder stock, its rugged housing (IP66 rated) and ADC12 material ensure resistance to corrosion, salt spray, and physical shock.
Its key innovation lies in its non-contact measurement principle. Unlike traditional potentiometers, which wear and degrade over time, the KLY-RAT ensures a long service life without loss of performance due to mechanical wear. Designed for optimal visibility, this indicator allows users to obtain accurate readings at any angle up to 250 degrees and from a distance of up to 5 meters. A built-in long-life LED provides excellent illumination in low-light conditions, while its IP54 front panel rating ensures dust and water resistance.
A Technological Leap: KLY-Ri Inductive Rotary Angle Sensor
Representing the technological forefront of this series is the KLY-Ri inductive rotary angle sensor. This sensor utilizes a novel non-contact measurement principle, utilizing an RLC coupling circuit and an onboard microprocessor for intelligent signal processing.
This technology makes it immune to magnetic field interference and completely mechanically wear-free. It offers a full 360-degree measurement range with an excellent repeatability of 0.09 degrees. A key feature is its tolerance to mounting misalignment; the positioning component can be offset from the rotation axis by up to 2mm without affecting the output value, greatly simplifying the installation process.
